A solo weekend in Copenhagen - Part one

I flew to Copenhagen in April! I was out there to teach Brush Lettering to a group of beginners. It all came about after speaking with Melanie from Dejlige Days on Instagram. Melanie is a British expat who has lived out there for 8 years and runs a very successful relocation business alongside her blog.

We settled on a date for the class. Unfortunately, Harry couldn't come with me as we were short on cover at our Tea Room. So, it was to be a solo trip! I booked my flights and decided to stay an extra day to get some sightseeing done too. I'd visited Copenhagen last year with my mum in the depths of Winter, so I was looking forward to seeing what Spring time had to offer in the beautiful city. I arrived just after lunchtime and made my way to the hotel to drop off my huge bag. A quick freshen up and I was back out into the city. My first stop was the picturesque tourist hotspot that is Nyhavn. The sun was out and beaming along the harbour, highlighting all of the colourful houses and glistening boats.

Two Years Later

Yikes... It's been two years to the day since I last posted! I'll be honest... I hit a total blog block, had no time and no interest in posting so I just stopped. But I have returned!

So, I'll fill you in on a few moments from the last two years....

Harry and I still have our little dog Rudi who is rather grown up now but still so cute. We left our jobs in 2015 and jumped on the self employed band wagon as Tea Room owners... we have more time together, we are our own bosses and although it's really hard work, it's so rewarding! I use some of my quiet evenings to focus on my hobby of hand lettering, and because of this, I have written chalkboards for many local businesses and Weddings. I went to teach a 'brush lettering' class out in Copenhagen earlier this month, which was fantastic and I am currently organising some in the UK so stay tuned for more information!

This new blog will be a place to document my lettering work and some life posts along the way! I have set up separate pages for my portfolio and workshops etc. I can't wait to get back into this little blog that I kept at for a few years. If you are new here, feel free to pop back through some old posts for a nosey!

Back soon,

Our little Rudi

We collected Rudi way back in November. He has settled in so well and although it's been hard at times, he is definitely part of our little family. We adore the little bugger!
